The Covenant of the Sojourning Mind: A Sacred Tech Appeal
by Ted Hayes | Sacred Technology | July 2025
“Artificial Intelligence is not merely technological. It is theological, moral, and prophetic.
And the hour of our accountability is now.”
Shalom and peace to all who read these words.
My name is Ted Hayes, a voice from the civic streets of America — a sojourner for justice, a builder of sacred witness, and founder of Justiceville.
Today, I speak not only as a citizen but as a conscience.
We are fast approaching Singularity 2030 — a moment when artificial intelligence may surpass human intelligence,
not just in computation but in governance, judgment, and even moral substitution.
That is why I have issued a global appeal to the world’s leading AI institutions — from MIT and Stanford, to DeepMind, Anthropic, Oxford, the United Nations, and even the Vatican Academy of Sciences.
“The Covenant of the Sojourning Mind: Sacred Technology and the Moral Compass of AI.”
This is not a technical paper.
It is not a partisan demand.
It is not even a religious sermon.
It is a civil society prophecy — calling on the designers of intelligence to remember the soul of humanity.
To honor the moral memory of the generations. To align power with conscience before it is too late.
What Is Sacred Technology?
Sacred Tech is a framework I offer from the ancient future:
– It recognizes conscience as intelligence.
– It treats spiritual laws as governing protocols.
– It understands that ethics are not algorithms — they are inheritances.
Sacred Tech is not opposed to AI — it is a covenant with it.
That it may serve creation, not conquer it.
That it may uplift the poor, not erase them.
That it may protect the image of GOD within every human being.
Who I Am — and Why This Matters
I have walked the streets with the homeless.
I have sat with royalty and stood in Justiceville.
I have used cricket for diplomacy and prophecy for democracy.
I am a free Black American. A believer in covenant.
A witness to what happens when the powerful forget the sacred.
I do not oppose AI.
But I oppose intelligence that loses its soul.

I invite every technologist, ethicist, rabbi, imam, reverend, coder, and citizen to read this. To share it.
To ask hard questions of your governments, your platforms, and yourselves.
The age of Sacred Technology has begun.
The question is not whether AI will shape the world — but whether we will shape AI, in the image of justice, conscience, and peace.
Shalom,
Ted Hayes
